The recreation ground was known as Shelley Road Recreation Ground. It was renamed as part of The Queen Elizabeth II Fields Challenge - run by Fields in Trust - celebrating Her Majesty The Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012. The challenge helped protect 2012 outdoor recreational spaces in communities across the country as a permanent living legacy.
There is also a small play area on the site and it is popular with dog walkers. We remind dog owners to clean up after their dogs by placing dog poop in the red bins provided. We appreciate your co-operation as it helps keep our parks clean and safe for all users.
The site has bookable two football pitches and changing rooms.
Please note: you may not use remote controlled vehicles (including drones) or metal detecting equipment on any Council-owned open space.
The community hall is managed by the Poets Corner Residents Association.
