Desborough Castle

The site is on Rutland Avenue, Castlefield, near the Spearing Road service road.

Sports facilities

A new ball court was installed on the site in 2011 and a new play area in 2012.

Please note: you may not use remote controlled vehicles (including drones) or metal detecting equipment on any Buckinghamshire Council open space in the Wycombe area.

The castle is a medieval "ringwork" or small fortress built on a site that has probably been occupied since the Bronze Age and is a scheduled ancient monument site.

There are good views of High Wycombe across the valley.
