Great British Spring Clean

 2019-Great-British-Clean-Up

Our joint waste team has pledged its support for this year's Great British Spring Clean, run by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy.

The campaign, which runs from 22 March to 23 April, will see up to half a million people taking action by cleaning up streets, parks and beaches across the country.

Want to organise your own litter pick?

If you wish to organise your own clean up, please register on the Keep Britain Tidy website.

Our joint waste team can provide support for groups volunteering in the Wycombe district by providing:

  • litter pickers
  • rubbish sacks
  • removal of the litter you collect

All equipment loaned must be collected from and returned to the Chiltern District Council office or the South Bucks District Council office, by prior arrangement.

Only bagged waste/recycling will be collected and this will be at a pre-agreed location. We are unable to collect bulky materials.

Please note: Organisers are responsible for conducting risk assessments as part of the event preparation. Health and safety is an important consideration and, for your own safety, we do not encourage volunteers to work within close proximity of main roads.
