Publication of the Delivery & Site Allocations Plan - June 2012

The Delivery and Site Allocations document sets out our plans to support the town and district centres, including specific policies for High Wycombe, Marlow and Princes Risborough town centres and plans for regenerating key town centre development sites, and puts in place vital policies to manage future development across the district.

Between Friday 1 June and Friday 20 July 2012 we published the proposed submission version of the Delivery and Site Allocations Plan for formal representations to be made on the Plan. The deadline for comments to be received by us was Friday 20 July 2012. The publication period was undertaken in accordance with Regulations 19 and 20 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012.

Please note: The Plan supersedes earlier versions of the DSA (2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011).

Pre-examination changes to plans in the proposed publication version of the Delivery and Site Allocations Plan

We also consulted on Proposed Pre-Examination Changes to the DSA Plan. Between 1 June and 20 July 2012 we consulted on the inclusion within the DSA Plan of a policy of "Presumption in Favour of Sustainable Development" to ensure consistency with the National Planning Policy Framework, which the Planning Inspectorate advised us to include. Between 23 July and 7 September 2012 we consulted on Proposed Pre-Examination Changes relating to the maps contained within the Plan. The maps were reproduced to show the Green Infrastructure Areas as referred to by policy DM10 of the DSA and the extent of the Desborough area referred to by policy HW1 or the Green Street School site HW2 at an appropriate scale. The maps are available to view below.

Where can I view the Plan and supporting documents?

The Delivery and Site Allocations Plan is available to download for free below. A hard copy of the Plan is also available to view at the following locations during normal opening hours:

  • Buckinghamshire Council Offices, Queen Victoria Road, High Wycombe.
  • Marlow Information Centre, 55a High Street, Marlow (entrance off Institute Road).
  • Risborough Area Information Centre, Tower Court, Horns Lane, Princes Risborough.
  • Libraries across the district.

The supporting evidence base for the Delivery and Site Allocations Plan is available to view and download from our DSA Plan technical reports and DSA Plan additional background report pages. Hard copies of the supporting evidence base can also be viewed at our offices, on Queen Victoria Road, High Wycombe during normal opening hours.

We have also produced two newsletters to accompany the Delivery and Site Allocations Plan:

Both newsletters are available to download for free below. In addition hard copies are available free of charge at the locations listed above.

How can I make representations on the Plan?

The period for representations to be received on the Proposed Submission DSA Plan closed on Friday 20 July 2012, and the period for representations on the Proposed Pre-Examination Changes closed on Friday 7 September 2012. We cannot accept any further representations on the Plan at this stage.

Following the submission of the DSA Plan to the Planning Inspectorate, we have, in line with Regulation 22(3) of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012, made available to the public copies of the representations received during the publication stage. They can be viewed as a part of the documents supporting the Delivery and Site Allocations Plan Examination.

Submission and Examination of the Delivery and Site Allocations Plan

On Friday 21 September 2012 we formally submitted the Delivery and Site Allocations (DSA) Plan to the Planning Inspectorate. The Planning Inspectorate has appointed Inspector Paul Crysell BSC MSC MRTPI to conduct the examination. The examination hearings took place between Tuesday 18 December and Thursday 20 December 2012 at the Council Offices in Queen Victoria Road, High Wycombe, HP11 1BB.

We are now consulting on the Proposed Maid Modifications to the Plan. Further information on the examination process can be found on the Delivery and Site Allocations Plan Examination page.

Regulation 22 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012, requires copies of all representations to submitted to the Secretary of State.
