Bledlow-cum-Saunderton neighbourhood plan
In August 2016 Bledlow-cum-Saunderton parish council submitted a proposed neighbourhood plan for formal consultation. After we consulted on the plan, we submitted it for independent external examination, and after reviewing the examiner's report, we determined that the plan (with modifications) would proceed to referendum.
Over 80 per cent of those eligible to vote, voted in favour of the Bledlow-cum-Saunderton Neighbourhood Plan. Following this result, on 23 June 2017, Wycombe District Council has “made” (adopted) the Neighbourhood Plan. This means that the plan now forms part of Wycombe Development Plan and must be given full weight when determining planning applications in the designated Neighbourhood Area (Bledlow-cum-Saunderton Parish).

Decision to proceed to referendum
Bledlow-cum-Saunderton parish council submitted a proposed neighbourhood plan in August 2016 for formal consultation. We consulted on the plan between 12 September and 25 October 2016, then submitted the plan for independent external examination. After reviewing the examiner's report, we have decided that the plan, once modified, must proceed to referendum.
The Council received the examiner’s report in December 2016 and made an initial decision to proceed to referendum in February 2017. A potential legal challenge against the initial decision has meant that, having taken legal advice, the Council has revisited the examiner's report and the original decision, and come to the conclusion that it should remake the decision.
Wycombe District Council has now reviewed the examiner’s report and is satisfied that the Bledlow-cum-Saunderton Neighbourhood Development Plan, as amended in accordance with paragraph 12(4)(b) of Schedule 4B to the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, meets the basic conditions set out in paragraph 8(2) of Schedule 4B to the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and complies with the provisions made by or under sections 38A and 38B of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 and can therefore proceed to referendum.
