Berghers Hill conservation area character survey

The hamlet lies half a mile to the east of Wooburn, and lies just behind the escarpment of the River Wye valley at a height of 200 feet. This is a small rural hamlet situated at a track crossroads. Only one of these is a road, the rest are footpaths.

The hamlet faces inwards, with the older cottages on the west side. There is one listed building, but nearly all the buildings in the hamlet are historic and are considered of interest. The layout and positioning of buildings and their fences and enclosures give an interesting and varied character to the hamlet.
