Community transport and Dial-a-Ride
Chilterns Dial-a-Ride (external website) operates a door to door transport service for people with restricted mobility in Chiltern, South Bucks and Wycombe areas.
Book journeys in advance by telephone to go shopping, to work, to visit friends, and attend day centres, doctors' surgeries, social events.
Dial-a-Ride minibuses have wheelchair access and collect members from their homes and take them to pre-arranged destinations in the Wycombe area. Services are typically offered at a cost between that of a bus and a taxi service.
Chiltern Dial-a-Ride receives grant funding from Buckinghamshire Council (Wycombe area) to help ensure that there is accessible transport in place for Wycombe residents who are not able to use scheduled public transport.
Risborough Area Community Bus
Risborough Area Community Bus (RACB) (external website) provides scheduled 'hail and ride' bus services around Princes Risborough and outlying villages. Services operate every day except Sundays.
RACB also offers regular outings to places of interest. It is also available for use by non profit-making groups.
