Food safety training

We run the following accredited courses:

  • Level 1 award - food safety awareness in catering
  • Level 2 award - food safety in catering
  • Level 2 award - food safety in catering refresher
  • Level 2 award - health and safety in the workplace

Qualifications are awarded by the Highfield Awarding Body of Compliance (HABC).

Location

The courses are usually held at the council offices in Queen Victoria Road, High Wycombe. Other locations are sometimes used and training for more than ten people can be provided at your workplace.

Course fees

The cost of the course depends on numbers booked, the type of course and location. The cost includes exam fees, training materials and refreshments. Lunch is not provided. An extra £10 per delegate is added if a business or residence is outside of the Wycombe district.

Number of attendees

The courses in the council offices run for between three and 16 people. If you want to hold the course at a different location, a minimum fee equivalent to ten delegates is charged.

How to pay for a course

You can pay:

  • by phone with a credit or debit card
  • by post sending a cheque  (made payable to Wycombe District Council) with your course booking form
  • at our offices by cheque (made payable to Wycombe District Council) or card

Alternatively, we can invoice you and you can pay online. Please make sure you select "Invoice payment".

Cancellations and transfers

If you are unable to attend, please contact us to substitute another person or to transfer to another course at least 48 hours before the course. If you cancel less than ten working days before the course, your payment will not be refunded.
