Community cop cards
Running annually, the Community Cop Card scheme is a sticker collecting scheme for year 6 pupils in the schools covered by the Marlow and Marlow South West Rural Neighbourhood Policing Teams.
The scheme is in it’s third year and after huge success in 2019, we are looking forward to Community Card scheme 2020.
About the scheme
A partnership between Thames Valley Police and Wycombe District Council, the scheme focuses on group effort, as classes compete against each other to win a trip to Legoland Windsor.
Children can collect up to 24 stickers by completing activities encouraging them to be safe, engage with their local community, care for their local areas and build positive relationships with their Neighbourhood Policing Teams.
In 2019, the participating schools had educational workshops delivered by Thames Valley Police, NSPCC, Bucks County Council, Bucks and Milton Keynes Fire & Rescue, MoneySense, Dementia Friends and St John’s Ambulance.
The year 6 pupils from Radnage C of E school were the winners of Community Cop Cards 2019. They thoroughly enjoyed their prize which was a visit to LEGOLAND Windsor. The work they produced was outstanding - they even designed new stickers for the scheme!
The scheme was rolled out in April 2019 to the 440 pupils from 14 participating primary schools in the Marlow and surrounding rural areas. After a lot of hard work the scheme finished in July 2019 with all pupils eagerly hoping they had won.
The participating schools in 2019 were:
- Cadmore End
- Foxes Piece
- Lane End
- St Paul's
- St Peter's
- West Wycombe
- Wooburn Green
