Coronavirus guidance for licensing applicants

Guidance on making licensing applications during the coronavirus pandemic:

Charity collections

Please use the existing online process on our Charity collection permits page.

If you can't apply online, you can print off the application form and complete, including signing and dating the form. Please take care to complete the application form in full. Any incomplete or illegible applications will be rejected and will not be processed.

You can then either send a scanned copy with supporting documents by email to the Licensing team (licensing.wyc@buckinghamshire.gov.uk) or by post to: FAO Licensing, Buckinghamshire Council, Council Offices, Queen Victoria Road, High Wycombe, HP11 1BB.

If you do not have access to a scanner, you can photograph each page of the form but please note it must be clear and legible or we will not be able to process it.

Once we have received a valid application it will be processed. We may have to issue the licence/permit by email – so please ensure you provide an email address on your application. Otherwise it will be sent out by post as normal.

Personal licences - Licensing Act 2003

Please use the existing online process on our Personal licences page.

If you are unable to submit it online, you can submit the form by email. Select the 'PDF & Print' button on the online application form and either send it by email to the Licensing team (licensing.wyc@buckinghamshire.gov.uk) or by post to: FAO Licensing, Buckinghamshire Council, Council Offices, Queen Victoria Road, High Wycombe, HP11 1BB. 

All accompanying documents must be included and any cheques should be made payable to Buckinghamshire Council.

Premises Licences - Gambling Act 2005 and Licensing Act 2003

Please follow the processes stated on our licensing pages:

Small non-commercial society lottery registrations

You can to fill out the Non-commercial Society application form and complete as normal, including signing and dating the form. Please take care to complete the application form in full. Any incomplete or illegible applications will be rejected and will not be processed.

You can then either send a scanned copy with supporting documents by email to the Licensing team (licensing.wyc@buckinghamshire.gov.uk) or by post to: FAO Licensing, Buckinghamshire Council, Council Offices, Queen Victoria Road, High Wycombe, HP11 1BB.

When we are ready to process your application, we will call you to take payment over the phone. You can also enclose a cheque if making a postal application made payable to Buckinghamshire Council.

When we have a completed correct application and payment, we will process the application. We may have to issue the licence/permit by email – so please ensure you provide an email address on your application. Otherwise it will be sent out by post as normal.

Street traders

Renewal applications will be prioritised at this time.

To apply online, please follow the processes stated on our Street trading licences page.

If you can't apply online, you can print off the Street traders application form and complete as normal, including signing and dating the form. Please take care to complete the application form in full. Any incomplete or illegible applications will be rejected and will not be processed.

Scan the completed application and email it to the Commercial Training team (commercialtraining.wyc@buckinghamshire.gov.uk) with any supporting documents, ideally in one email. If you do not have access to a scanner, you can photograph each page of the form but please note it must be clear and legible or we will not be able to process it.

When we are ready to process your application, we will call you to take payment over the phone. If there are any issues with the phone payment system, you will be required to send us a cheque made payable to Buckinghamshire Council.

When we have a completed correct application and payment, we will process the application. We may have to issue the consent by email – so please ensure you provide an email address on your application. Otherwise it will be sent out by post as normal.

Taxi and Private Hire Licences

Please follow the processes stated on our taxi and private hire licences page.

Temporary Event Notices

Please use the existing online process as normal on our Temporary Event Notices page.

Alternatively you can apply by post, enclosing a cheque for the fee of £21 made payable to Buckinghamshire Council. Please take care to complete the application form in full. Any incomplete or illegible applications will be rejected and will not be processed. You must also send a copy of the application to both:

  • Thames Valley Police at Licensing, Thames Valley Police, Headquarters (South), Kidlington, OX5 2NX
