Business rates - national non-domestic rates (NNDR)
We receive a number of requests for information which relate to business rate accounts (also known as national non-domestic rates or NNDR).
Please find our most recent data:
Council tax write-offs and arrears
|Period ||Write-offs || Arrears|
Addresses and rateable value of all Business Rates accounts are available on the Valuation Office Agency website.
There are no plans to publish any additional datasets at this time.
Without clear public interest, Councils are able to consider commercial requests vexatious in line with the Upper Tribunal ruling recently upheld by the Court of Appeal ttp://www.bailii.org/uk/cases/UKUT/AAC/2013/440.html
The Council currently makes a great deal of information freely available on our website and we consider any additional time spent on preparing additional data sets vexatious as it causes undue and disproportionate burden on the scarce public resources of the Council.
Of course a public body is not always aware of wider public interests in a particular area in respect of some requests. If you consider your request is in the public interest, as opposed to a purely commercial purpose please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note if you are interested in our historical data see DataShare, our home for open data.
We have reviewed this information before publishing to remove accounts relating to individuals as this data is personal information.
This data is licensed under an Open Government Licence (external website).
The data is published Excel and csv format. See Transparency and open data to find out more about file formats.
