Revenues privacy notice As a Data Controller Buckinghamshire Council collects data relating to owners & occupiers of properties in its area for the purposes of billing, collection and enforcement of revenues debts (Council Tax, Business rates and Benefit Overpayments). Such processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject and/or the performance of a task carried out in the public interest under Council Tax, Business Rates and Benefit legislation. Our aim is to destroy such personal data 6 years after an account has ended and any arrears are paid; We will share your personal data, if appropriate, with: A nominated third party or personal representative, following authority from you to do so. Any of the parties listed on receipt of a copy of a Financial Power of Attorney Enforcement Agents employed by the council. Other bodies responsible for auditing or administering public funds, and in relation to safeguarding purposes or in connection with the prevention of crime, criminal or legal investigations or proceedings including fraud (and the National Fraud Initiative) or regulatory functions.
