Background to the town plan

We are producing a development plan for the town of Princes Risborough for 2013 to 2033. The plan caters for the town's future in light of major speculative applications in the area. The plan is being prepared in advance of a Local Plan for the remainder of Wycombe district.

Draft plan events

Come to one of our events to discuss and debate more about the choices we face. Colleagues will be available on the following dates at these venues:

  • Thursday 25 February, 9:30am - 12:30pm: Princes Risborough market
  • Thursday 25 February, 3:30pm - 8:30pm: Princes Risborough Community Centre (drop-in session)
  • Saturday 27 February, 10am - 2pm: The Princes Centre (drop-in session)
  • Thursday 3 March, 7:30pm: Princes Risborough Community Centre (public meeting)

Draft town plan contents

The Princes Risborough Town Plan (PRTP):

  • allocates an expansion area to the town for around 2000 to 2500 homes to contribute to the district's objectively assessed needs
  • allocates land for business as an expansion to the Princes Estates
  • secures new and improved infrastructure to accompany the growth proposed, most significantly, major new road infrastructure which the plans depends on in the context of major development here
  • provides a strong green infrastructure framework for the growth of the town
  • sets out opportunities for improving the town centre and railway station area, including proposals for the public realm, retail and parking
  • designates land at the Molins sports ground for sports and recreation
