Consultation on the Slate Meadow development brief
This consultation has now closed.
We want your views on a proposed development brief for the Slate Meadow site. The development brief sets out the guiding principles of how the site could be developed in the future to provide new, high-quality housing.
When it is finalised, the parameters set out in the development brief will help shape detailed planning permission.
Purpose and detail
We decided to release the Slate Meadow reserve site for development in late 2014. We took this decision to help meet Wycombe district’s new build housing shortfall.
A liaison group of local councillors and local community representatives has helped us set out the guiding principles which will govern how the site will be developed. These principles are set out in a draft development brief. We want your comments on the draft development brief before it is finalised.
The development brief identifies a series of development principles for the site and sets out parameters for the type and location of future development together with provision of open space, ecological and flood storage areas.

If you have any queries:
Once the consultation has closed, we will use the responses we receive to refine and improve the development brief. We will finalise and submit the brief to Wycombe DC Cabinet in November 2017. Once agreed, the development brief will form the basis for a separate developer led planning application for the development of the Slate Meadow site. That application will follow the standard planning application process.
