Consultation: draft air quality action plan
Wednesday 1 August 2018
Tuesday 11 September 2018
We are consulting on our draft air quality management action plan for the Wycombe district.
Last year, we declared two new air quality management areas in High Wycombe and Marlow and varied the size of a pre-existing air quality management area along the M40. An air quality management area is declared for an area where the local air quality is unlikely to meet the government’s national air quality objectives.
By declaring air quality management areas, this triggers a statutory requirement for us to produce an air quality action plan that sets out how we are going to improve air quality in these designated air quality management areas.
Purpose and details
We would like your views on our draft air quality action plan, which sets out 25 actions that aim to reduce nitrogen dioxide levels and improve air quality in the Wycombe district.
In developing our air quality action plan, we followed the local air quality management policy guidance (PG16) process and created a steering group who helped us to develop it.
