Consultation: Hedsor and Riversdale conservation area appraisal
We want your views on the conservation area appraisal for the Hedsor Road and Riversdale conservation area. Once finalised, these appraisals will be used to inform the decisions of planning applications in their respective conservation areas.
Purpose and detail
Conservation areas are areas of particular heritage interest, which are formally designated by local authorities to recognise and protect their character. Conservation area appraisals set out what the special qualities and individual character of these areas are, to inform and advise applications for planning permission in the area.
We designated Hedsor Road and Riversdale as a conservation area in 1986, and revised its boundaries in 1991. We have a rolling programme of publishing conservation area appraisals, and are publishing this appraisal at this time to reflect the scale of the conservation area and the role of heritage in the emerging Wycombe District Local Plan.
