Consultation: Daws Hill neighbourhood plan submission
*As of 1st April 2020, the five previous district and county councils in Buckinghamshire will merge together to form a new single unitary authority; Buckinghamshire Council.
Summary
The Daws Hill neighbourhood forum has submitted a neighbourhood plan for its local area for formal consultation. The plan will give the neighbourhood forum more control over development in its area.
We are now consulting on this proposed plan before it is submitted for independent examination, which we anticipate will take place later this year. The consultation will run for six weeks.
Start date
Wednesday 13 March 2019
Closing date
Friday 26 April 2019 (11.59pm)
Purpose and detail
In September 2012, Wycombe District Council agreed to designate the Daws Hill neighbourhood area. The Daws Hill neighbourhood forum was also designated in September 2012 and renewed in February 2018. Between June and September 2018 a consultation was carried out on a draft neighbourhood plan for the Daws Hill neighbourhood area.
The Daws Hill neighbourhood forum has now submitted their neighbourhood plan to the Council. The published submission plan and supporting evidence are available to view below or at our offices for the duration of the consultation period.
Submitted plan
The submitted Daws Hill neighbourhood plan sets out the planning policies that can be used to influence planning applications in the area. The policies are intended to protect the special character of the parish and to encourage development proposals for the benefit of the local community.
Supporting documents
The following documents support the proposed plan:
You can view printed copies of the neighbourhood plan and main supporting evidence during normal opening hours at:
- Buckinghamshire Council offices, Queen Victoria Road, High Wycombe (HP11 1BB)
- High Wycombe Library, 5 Eden Place, High Wycombe (HP11 2DH)
How to respond
This consultation is now closed.
Expected outcome
Following this consultation the plan will be submitted to an independent examiner, alongside the plan's supporting documents and the representations made at this stage.
Depending on the outcome of the examination, the neighbourhood plan will then be the subject of a local referendum. Should the referendum return a majority “yes” result, then the Daws Hill neighbourhood plan will become a part of the development plan for the Wycombe District and will be used in considering applications for development in the local area.
