Wycombe District Council - Audit of accounts year ending 31 March 2020

Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 / Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015

Notice is hereby given that the accounts of ceased Wycombe District Council, in respect of the financial year ended 31 March 2020, will be available for public inspection as set out below:

  1. From 4 June 2020 to 16 July 2020 between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday, any person interested may inspect the accounts of the Council for the year ended 31 March 2020 and all related documents (comprising books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts) at the address given below. They may also make copies of the accounts and documents; for which the Council may make a charge for costs incurred.
  2. From 4 June 2020 to 16 July 2020 between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday, a local government elector for the area of the Council, or his/her representative, may question the Auditor about the accounting records of the Council.
  3. From 4 June 2020 to 16 July 2020, a local government elector for the area of the Council, or his/her representative, may raise an objection to the Council’s accounts. Any such elector or his representative objecting to the accounts may ask the auditor to issue a report in the public interest or apply for a declaration that an item of account is unlawful under section 28 of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014. Written notice of the proposed objection and the grounds on which it will be made must be sent to the auditor at the address given below and also copied to the Council.
