Public inspection of accounts
We will be publishing our unaudited statement of accounts for 2018/19 on 31 May 2019.
Our auditors EY have recently told us – and 19 other public sector bodies – that they will not be able to audit our accounts by the statutory deadline of 31 July 2019 due to resourcing issues. EY have been appointed by PSSA [firstname.lastname@example.org] whose best value framework we opted in to.
We have agreed with EY and with PSSA that our audited accounts will be presented to our Audit Committee on 10 October and that we will not face any penalties for the delay.
Our accounts are audited external by Andrew Brittain, Associate Partner - Government and Public Sector (UK&I), Ernst & Young LLP, Apex Plaza, Forbury Road, Reading, Berkshire, RG1 1YE
You may inspect our accounts for the year ended 31 March 2019, including:
- vouchers, and
at the council offices, Queen Victoria Road, High Wycombe, HP11 1BB from 3 June to 12 July 2019 between 10am and 4pm.

Questions about the accounts
Any local government elector in the Wycombe district may ask the auditor questions about the accounts from 10am on 3 June to 12 July 2019. If you wish to ask any question, please contact the auditor.
Any local government elector in the Wycombe district may object to the accounts from 10am on 3 June to 12 July 2019. They can ask that the auditor issue a report in the public interest and/or apply for a declaration that an item in the accounts is contrary to law (under section 28 of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014).
Written notice of the proposed objection and the grounds on which it is made must be sent to the auditor and copied to David Skinner, Head of Finance and Commercial at Wycombe District Council.
