Planning an event

If you organise public events in the Wycombe district, you may find our event safety guide useful.

Voluntary and community events are an important part of everyday life that strengthen communities and encourage people to play a more active part in society. The Government want to make it as easy as possible to plan and hold an event, whether it is to mark a one off occasion such as the 800th anniversary of the sealing of Magna Carta or the 750th anniversary of the first English Parliament, both of which take place in 2015 or simply to raise money for charity or bring the community closer together.

Licensing

You may need a temporary event notice if you intend to have outside music. You will also require a licence to sell alcohol. Our licensing team deals with issuing alcohol and entertainment licences.
