Bigger, revamped swim and fitness centre for Princes Risborough

Risborough Springs Cllr Peart cuts ribbon large

Princes Risborough residents have an excellent revamped swim and fitness centre thanks to a £1.2 million investment by Wycombe District Council.

Cllr Graham Peart, Cabinet Member for Community, cut the ribbon on Friday 17 January at the official relaunch of the Risborough Springs Swim and Fitness Centre. WDC funded the extension and it was project managed by Places Leisure.

The extension work was a huge success, with little interruption to the centre users. The improvements include:

  • a newly extended gym
  • new fitness studio
  • virtual cycling zone, with new Stages bikes
  • increased class programme
  • reception foyer redecoration
  • poolside re-tile

Cllr Peart said: “Wycombe District Council were determined to improve the leisure offer in Princes Risborough and agreed £1.2 million for the extension and improvements.

“When I cut the ribbon on Friday and took a look around at the finished product I was delighted to see what a great job Places Leisure has done with our funding.

“Anyone considering using the facilities will be made most welcome if they wish to check the centre out for themselves.”
