Dementia Action Week 2019

20 May, 2019 to 26 May, 2019
12:00 AM to 11:59 PM

Dementia Action Week 2019 run across 20-26 May and there are loads of events taking place across Wycombe District, providing support, information and advice to anybody suffering from, affected by or worried about dementia.

The word ‘dementia’ describes a set of symptoms that may include memory loss and difficulties with thinking, problem-solving or language. These changes are often small to start with, but for someone with dementia they have become severe enough to affect daily life. A person with dementia may also experience changes in their mood or behaviour. Dementia is caused when the brain is damaged by diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease or a series of strokes.

If you have dementia, care for somebody with dementia or are concerned about suffering in the future, why not head along to one of the events below? We've also put together 21 top tips for living well with dementia.
