New Travelodge PLUS for Marlow

Marlow has welcomed a smart new Travelodge PLUS at Globe Business Park.

At the official opening on Wednesday 26 June, the Mayor of Marlow, Cllr Richard Scott, and Tony O’Brien, Travelodge UK Development Director, congratulated the development team. This was followed by the ribbon cutting with hotel manager Sophie Gray doing the honours.

As well as providing a much-needed additional 83 hotel rooms in the town, it’s also led to 22 new jobs.

Cllr Steve Broadbent, Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Regeneration at Wycombe District Council, said: “Congratulations to Travelodge on the opening of their stylish new Marlow hotel.

“We have worked closely with the Travelodge team to ensure their brand could fit our site, and help us support and grow our local community and provide job opportunities for local residents. We are delighted to now welcome them to Marlow.”

Travelodge PLUS is the company’s new-look ‘budget chic’ format hotel, which has been designed ‘around the needs of the budget traveller who wants that little bit more style and choice’.

The £11million Marlow hotel is the company’s first new-build Travelodge PLUS outside London.
