Wycombe Lotto celebrates two successful years with £20,000 handover

Wycombe Lotto 2nd birthday group shot July 2019

Twenty local charities received a share of £20,000 raised through Wycombe Lotto at the community fund’s second birthday celebrations on Wednesday 10 July.

Cllr Graham Peart BEM, Cabinet Member for Community, aided by Chairman Cllr Paul Turner presented the funding at the special event at Adams Park Stadium.

In total Wycombe Lotto has raised over £52,000 for local good causes since it launched in July 2017.

Cllr Peart said: “We are very grateful for the dedication of the charities participating in Wycombe Lotto, and to residents who show their support for these good causes by buying tickets each week.

“Buckinghamshire is entering a time of change, so it is really important that we continue to work together and support the amazing work that volunteers do across Wycombe District. Wycombe Lotto is indeed a great vehicle achieve do this.”

Currently 73 local good causes are signed up to Wycombe Lotto, representing a really diverse range of charities including sports clubs, schools, homes and housing for people in need, neighbourhood schemes and supporting children with special needs.

Every week ticket buyers have the chance to win the cash jackpot of £25,000 and other cash prizes.
