Hotel design announced for Handy X Hub
The Handy X Hub offer continues to grow and now the design for the hotel has been made public.
At the serviced site fronting the M40 – that was sold by Wycombe District Council to a joint venture between global hotel investors Frank Truman and Legacy Hotels & Resorts – the hotel group are to develop a 150-bed Hampton by Hilton.
The group confirmed that they expect to be on site commencing construction later this year to develop the first of the ‘new generation – new build’ Hampton’s in the UK. The group recently revealed what the hotel will look like.
Cllr Steve Broadbent, Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Regeneration, said: “We work hard to support and grow the local economy and accompanying job opportunities, and it is exciting to see the plans progress and eventually become reality. This is a sleek, stylish design and I look forward to seeing the work get under way later this year.
“Further innovative phases are in the pipeline for the flagship site, offering further opportunities to businesses in the area.”
Meanwhile, tenants are currently fitting out the Wycombe District Council-developed day nursery – with Hungry Caterpillar Day Nurseries on the ground floor and The Little Gym on the first floor – to bring on-site childcare to HxH in the near future.
