Three Wycombe District parks recognised as among the UK's very best green spaces

Three Wycombe District parks have retained their Green Flag status in the Green Flag Award Scheme.

The Rye in High Wycombe and Higginson Park in Marlow were this week awarded Green Flags for the year ahead, while Hughenden Park is due a mystery shop later this year.

They are among a record-breaking 1,883 parks across the UK receiving the award.

This international award, now into its third decade, is a sign to the public that the space boasts the highest possible environmental standards, is beautifully maintained and has excellent visitor facilities.

Cllr Graham Peart, Cabinet Member for Community, said: “We are absolutely delighted to receive these Green Flag Awards once again.

“We know how much quality green spaces matter to residents and visitors, and these awards celebrate the dedication that goes into maintaining our parks to such a high standard.

“These three are our biggest stars. But we also have many popular smaller parks and open spaces throughout the district that we care for and improve to meet the needs of local residents.”
