Petitions trigger community governance reviews
Two petitions calling for community governance reviews with a view to forming parish councils in Totteridge and Micklefield wards have met the required criteria to trigger a review.
The petitions were handed in at a full council meeting on 10 December. The number of petitioners has since been validated and we can confirm that there are enough to legally start community governance reviews on the area of both the Totteridge and Micklefield wards.
A report will now come back to Council in the new year, via the Regulatory and Appeals Committee, with terms of references for both reviews. The reviews will be administered under the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007.
