Marlene VerPlanck is truly a grande dame of the jazz scene, with a career spanning some sixty years in the business. Yet her voice is still fantastic and no-one sings the great American standards (George Gershwin, Hoagy Carmichael, Richard Rogers, Irving Berlin, Johnny Mercer… the list goes on and on) better than this New York star. She appears with a world class band, John Pearce (piano), Bobby Worth (drums) and Paul Morgan (bass). For one night only, catch her in Marlow or pay far more to hear her at Ronnie Scott’s!
