Help choose the design for Hughenden Park's new play area

Children will soon be able to climb and swing through a new forest-themed play area at Hughenden Park – and we would like residents to choose their favourite design.

Almost 500 children, parents and residents took part in a public consultation over the summer on the council’s proposals to upgrade the Hughenden Park play area.

The results of the consultation - which asked what equipment and theme residents would like to see at any revamped play area - were used to select the top three designs.

Wycombe District Council is asking schoolchildren, parents and residents to vote for their favourite design. The design with the most votes will be turned into the new-look play area, with the refurbishment due to begin later this year.

The council has released £168,000 from its Facilities for Young People Capital Fund to pay for the work, part of the council’s rolling play area replacement programme.

The public vote opened today (Monday 9 January) and closes at 11.59pm on Sunday 22 January.

You can view the designs and cast your vote at Hughenden Park Play area public vote.

Please note, the poll is strictly limited to one vote per person and people connected to the companies that put forward the designs are not eligible to vote.

Any duplicate votes or votes cast by people connected to the three companies will be discounted.
