Book business travel
Please plan ahead where you can and book train travel in advance to get a discount. You must have your manager's authority to make any business journey.

This process covers train travel for business purposes only, using Chiltern Railways' Business Service which attracts a 34 per cent discount.
Chiltern Railways will post tickets to the named officer at WDC QVR offices.Tickets ordered before 3pm on weekdays will be despatched the same day. Orders placed after 3pm will be despatched the next working day.
If there are any problems with your tickets when you receive them, email Business.Travel@ChilternRailways.Co.uk immediately to resolve the problem.
If you need to change your travel plans you must email Business.Travel@ChilternRailways.Co.uk to make alternative arrangements or arrange a refund.
Your ticket request will be copied to the Processing and Admin team to reconcile the information you have provided against Chiltern Railway’s monthly invoice.
Short notice off peak business travel
You can still get a discount for off-peak travel (after 9.30am on weekdays, any time at weekends).
Go to the station before you need to travel. Book your ticket, and show your WDC ID card and Bucks Travel Choice card to secure a discount
Pay by either:
- WDC procurement card and keep the receipt; costs will be allocated to your service area
- your own credit/debit card or cash, keep your receipt and claim back the expenditure via the WDC expenses route
Short notice peak business travel
You cannot get a discount for peak travel (before 9.30am on weekdays).
