Having a good day - transforming day services in Buckinghamshire

If you are a service user, carer, or professional with an interest in Day Services, come to one of the consultation events on the future of Day Services for adults and older people living in Buckinghamshire.
Having a Good Day wants to address problems in the community by introducing a new day opportunities service that will open up access to community facilities for people with disabilities and older people.
Bucks County Council are seeking the views of residents and those who use day services and would like to give you the opportunity to have your say on their proposals and options for change.

The programme for the launch of this important consultation includes keynote speaker, Richard Banks, from the Social Care Institute of Excellence; the experience of a carer and her son; the proposals for transforming Day Services in Buckinghamshire from the BCC team; and plenty of opportunity to put your questions and discuss the options.
This important consultation starts on 2 June and ends on 25 August 2010. So that Service-users are able to take part planned visits to Day Centres and Day Service Groups will take place during the consultation period. It is also planned to meet and consult with Local Area Forums, Partnership Boards and Voluntary Groups.
