Comments wanted on planning for the future
01 July 2010
Wycombe District Council is asking local people to comment on an update to a key planning document that sets out the main sites for future development in the Wycombe district, as well as planning policies, from now until 23 July.
The Delivery and Site Allocations document explains the high level planning policies of the Core Strategy in more detail. It also outlines the Council's ideas on where the main areas of development will be and the infrastructure that would be needed to support those developments.
The Council is asking for comments on the latest update to the planning document, which includes proposals on meeting housing requirements; the High Wycombe town centre masterplan; Desborough and Hughenden areas; Daws Hill/Abbey Barn South; sites in Marlow, Princes Risborough and Stokenchurch; green space in Bourne End; and updates to some policy areas including open space and infrastructure. A list of additional, alternative sites that have not been considered before is also included.
In addition to inviting comments, the Council will be holding two public exhibitions on the Daws Hill/Abbey Barn South proposals. The first will be held at Wycombe Sports Centre between 2 and 9pm on 5 July; the second will be held at The Rye Centre, Bassetsbury Lane, between 2 and 9pm on 8 July.
A copy of the latest update to the Delivery and Site Allocations document is available to view at our offices in High Wycombe, Marlow and Princes Risborough, as well as in libraries across the district. Comments can be made by email to spatial_planning@wycombe.gov.uk, or in writing to WDF Consultation, Planning Policy Team, Wycombe District Council, Freepost HY120, Planning and Sustainability WDC 63, Queen Victoria Road, High Wycombe HP11 1BB.
