What a load of rubbish!
Thursday 29 March 2012
Over 60 bags of litter, that was cleared from the streets of High Wycombe town centre in a single night, was piled up in Frogmoor this morning (Thursday 29 March), to encourage local people to dispose of their rubbish responsibly.
The visual stunt was part of a county wide anti-litter campaign, which will be running over the few months. All of the bagged up litter was collected by the street cleaning crew working on behalf of Wycombe District Council and separated into rubbish and recycling. In addition to the litter pile, the Council's waste and recycling team were on hand to talk to local people about the impact of littering.
Wycombe District Council is responsible for street cleaning and the removal of litter in the Wycombe district. This includes providing, maintaining and emptying litter bins in public places.
