Is there a minimum temperature in workplaces?
Yes. The Workplace Health, Safety and Welfare Regulations 1992 sets two minimum temperatures:
1. a workroom, like an office should be at least 16 degrees Celsius (60.8 degrees Fahrenheit)
2. if much of the work involves severe physical effort the temperature should be at least 13 degrees Celsius (55.4 degrees Fahrenheit)
