Parking permits (off-street)

Parking permits are available for a number of our car parks. See our car parks listing pages for details.

Permits are available for six or twelve months. They always start on the first day of a month and part months are not available.

Parking permit benefits

  • Convenience and flexibility, if your preferred car park is full, you can try a nearby alternative
  • Reduced parking rates may apply when using a permit
  • No change required - permits are paid for in advance

Please note, the issue of a permit does not guarantee the availability of parking spaces.

Apply for a parking permit

We issue a limited number of parking permits for each car park. Sending us an application form does not guarantee the availability of a permit.

  • Phone or email us to check availability.
  • Download and complete the parking permit application form below. Complete and post this to us with supporting documents as required.
  • We aim to process applications within three working days. Your permit will then be posted to you.

Payment

You can pay by:

  • Cheque (payable to "Wycombe District Council")
  • Credit/debit card (see below)
  • Standing order

Please note that from 4 March 2010: Payments made by credit card will be subject to an additional charge which equates to the card transaction charge currently levied on the Council by operating banks. Details of this charge will be displayed before you confirm acceptance of your payment and there is an option to cancel the transaction should you wish.

This transaction charge applies to credit card payments only, not debit card payments.

Terms and conditions

When applying for and using a parking permit, please read the terms and conditions carefully. Failure to follow the terms and conditions may result in a parking ticket (penalty charge notice) being issued.

Lost or stolen parking permits

We charge an administration fee to replace lost or stolen parking permits.

Types of parking permits

Scratch cards

You can buy one-day parking permit scratch cards for use in most of our car parks. These are available from our main council offices or from the Marlow information centre.

Clock permits

Clock permits are designed to help parents drop off and collect their children from school. The disc allows a specific period of parking time. The driver sets the arrival time and the disc automatically displays the departure time. Terms and conditions apply.

Parking cards - Easton Street only

You can buy a pre-paid card for Easton Street car park. Each time you use the card to pay for parking, a message will appear on the screen telling you how much you've paid to park and the remaining balance on the card.

To top up the card, go to one of the pay stations and use cash or a specified payment card to add credit (up to your agreed limit).

Parking cards - pay and display car parks

Parking cards are pre-paid cards which can be used in most of our pay and display car parks. They are available in various values from £20 to £100.

Once the card has been fully or partly used, it can be topped up at a pay and display machine using £1 or £2 coins. A maximum of 20 coins can be used to top up the card in any one transaction.

Residents' parking cards

All households within the district are able to apply for one residents' parking card per financial year at a discounted cost of £30. The card will give you £40 worth of parking. You can buy credit to top up the card at normal parking rates. There is no restriction on the number of cards purchased without the discount.

The scheme runs from April to March. Download an application form to purchase a parking card below.
