The Development Plan

In considering planning applications, we are required to make the decision in accordance with the Development Plan, unless material considerations indicate otherwise. This has led to the current planning system being often referred to as "plan-led".

The Development Plan for Wycombe District is made up of the following documents all of which are available below via links and downloads:

South East Plan
Buckinghamshire Minerals and Waste Local Plans to 2016
Wycombe Local Plan to 2011
Wycombe Development Framework Core Strategy to 2026
As a result of the 2004 Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act the documents that form the "Development Plan" was extended to include the Regional plan, in this case the South East Plan. The introduction of the new planning system means that the Local Plan is gradually replaced by the Development Plan Documents (DPDs) that make up the Wycombe Development Framework (WDF), they are also added to the Development Plan. This means that the number of local plan policies that are "saved" is reduced as each DPD is adopted.
