The Development Plan
In considering planning applications, we are required to make the decision in accordance with the Development Plan, unless material considerations indicate otherwise. This has led to the current planning system being often referred to as "plan-led".
The Development Plan for Wycombe district is made up of the following documents all of which are available below via links and downloads:
The Local Plan is gradually being replaced by the Development Plan Documents (DPDs) that make up the Wycombe Development Framework (WDF). This means that the number of local plan policies that are "saved" is reduced as each DPD is adopted.
On 6 July 2010 the Government announced its intention to revoke the Regional Strategies, including the South East Plan and the associated housing targets. Once revoked, the South East Plan will no longer form part of the Development Plan. In the light of this and other emerging changes from Government, we have indicated that it will review the approach to housing requirements and housing supply. See our latest Local Development Scheme for the timetable for this review.
