We are responsible for the development and protection of the environment within the district in consultation with other local and national organisations. Our Planning and Building Control services offer advice and guidance to residents and businesses.

Community Infrastructure Levy

From 1 November 2012, planning applications containing additional proposed floor space of over 100sqm may be liable to Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) charges. To find out more see our Community Infrastructure Levy page.
