1920s kitchen
A self-service refreshment area providing drinks, is located in the old kitchen of Castle Hill House. The kitchen is decorated to show what the it may have looked like in the 1920s when the building was a private house.
Art

Furniture
The ever popular furniture gallery houses a wide range of chairs, including the wonderful "Upside Down" chair - an outdoor chair that can be turned over if wet - a Harry Bertoia wire chair, a design classic and a Jack Goodchild Windsor Chair. Visitors can also enjoy films of Bodgers working in the Beech Woods of the Chilterns.

Discover local history in the History Rooms. Using objects and interactive displays learn about the history of Wycombe district from pre-history to the present day.
Find out about the earliest settlers in the area and what happened when the Romans invaded. The exhibition contains objects and information about local industries such as lace making and the production of aircraft during World War II. Spot the difference between toys today and toys in the past and see how people spent their leisure time. Learn about the famous people who have lived in the area and see how history in the Wycombe district fits in to British history using our timeline.
