Ladybird books - Make and Do

Due to weather conditions there has been a delay in presenting this exhibition and it will now run from 16 January to 14 April 2010
Do you remember making toy snakes from left over cotton-reels or making invisible ink for secret messages? Then why not indulge in a spot of nostalgia at Wycombe Museum with the Ladybird Books - Make and Do exhibition. Enjoy a trip back to childhood and have plenty of fun with the whole family. Small kids and big kids welcome.

The exhibition draws on material from the Ladybird Archive and the display will include twenty-four pieces of original artwork from Things to Make (1963), Tricks and Magic (1969), More Things to Make (1973) and Easy to Make Puppets (1973). This display will also contain first editions and examples of the made items. Look out for school holiday activities that give today's children the chance to try their hand at some of the craft ideas from the books.
