Club support from the Sports Development Team
Our Sports Development Team can assist local sports clubs in a variety of ways. Through marketing alone, we have got a new section on our website which lists local activities and events that are coming up, we have got a monthly e-zine which gets sent out to over 1,000 local people and community groups as well as a twitter feed that receives regular coverage and interest. Our links to the district networks are strong in addition to the countywide promotional tools that we now have access to. Further to this, we can support clubs and events through funding, either directly or indirectly by supporting funding applications to local, county, regional, national and even international funding sources.
We offer a free membership card which provides discounts on anything from equipment purchasing, through Maudesport, to coaching courses and even facility hire for end of season award parties. Visit the sports discount schemes page of our website to download a form today.
From January 2012, we will only be offering support to clubs and groups that have registered for a card, or are prepared to register for a card so make sure you don't miss our support apply today.
Sport and physical activity sessions for adults
We work closely with the County Sports Partnership (Bucks Sport) and, through the 'Reactivate' project, we can advertise all of the sessions and activities that are going on within the district and the county. You can search for an activity and see where you can take part locally, register for free and receive activity information directly to your email address.
You can also add activities to the site to let other people know about what opportunities are available to them. Getting involved with 'Reactivate' is free and by getting involved now, we can remove the hassle of promoting your club and get you new members through the doors. Sports club accreditation
Is your club thinking about applying for accreditation from a national governing body (NGB) or Clubmark? Are you struggling to get to grips with the required documentation? This is a starting list of documents / qualifications required by most NGB's:
- Constitution
- Equity policy
- Code of conduct for club officials
- Code of conduct for parents
- Dealing with accidents and incidents
- Accident and incident report forms
- Club register
- Junior membership form
- Risk assessment
You can download a resource pack and document templates from the Clubmark website using the link at the bottom of the page.
