Kingsmead Recreation Ground
Kingsmead Recreation Ground can be accessed from either Kingsmead Road or from Fennells Road, which is off the London Road. The recreation ground is bounded by rivers on both sides. On the A40 side is the River Wye and on the Kingsmead side is the Marsh Brook (Back Stream).
The primary use of the ground is for formal sports. The recreation ground has three cricket tables, one football pitch and changing facilities, which are let by the us, and can be booked through our Outdoor Sports page .
The recreation ground is also the home of the South Buckinghamshire Netball Association and the High Wycombe Rugby Club.
Our Woodland Service also has a base at the Fennells Road end of the ground.
The area is also used for dog walking, walking and informal sports. Dog walkers are reminded to clean up after their dogs by placing dog poop in the bins provided. Co-operation in this scheme is appreciated as it helps keep our parks clean and safe for other users.
Other facilities in the park include a play area, trim trail, basketball nets, public toilets and car parking. There are two large car parks, one situated off Fennells Road and the other at the far end of the ground off Kingsmead Road.
