Housing options and advice
There is a huge demand for the limited housing stock in the Wycombe district and we cannot offer a home to everyone who has a housing problem but we can work with you to find other solutions.
If you are in need of housing advice or assistance, please see below for a range of housing matters or you can contact our Housing Options team using the details on the right.
The Housing Options team offers free confidential advice on a wide range of housing matters to anyone within the district, including the following:
- Housing options (including the housing register, homelessness and prevention)
- Accessing private rented accommodation
- Private tenant's housing rights and responsibilities
- Rent and mortgage arrears
- Private sector housing and repairs issues
- Domestic abuse and housing
Can we help if you are at risk of losing your home?
If you think you may be at risk of losing your home you can seek help from a housing options officer. It may be possible, with the right advice when the problems first begin, that the loss of your home can be avoided even if you have been given a court date for repossession (rented or mortgaged properties).
There is a national mortage rescue scheme. Please contact housing options for further details.
How do I contact a housing options officer?
To book an appointment with one of our housing options officers, please use the details on the right hand side of the page, between 8.45am to 5.15pm Monday to Thursday and 8.45am to 4.45pm on a Friday. For any out of hours calls please contact social services on 01494 675 802.
