Real nappies
Using real nappies is kinder to the environment and can be cheaper than using disposables.
Easy to use
Real nappies now fit as well as disposables. The traditional safety pin has been replaced by Velcro or poppers. Biodegradable nappy liners that can be flushed down the toilet make the washing and changing process cleaner and easier.
Kind to the environment
Disposable nappies are estimated to take over 200 years to biodegrade. From birth to potty your child will need about 5,000 nappy changes. This can mean that a household with one child in nappies will double their weight of household waste. Even accounting for washing, real nappies are kinder to the environment.
Cheaper than disposables
By using real nappies and washing them yourself, you can save up to £900 per baby. You can save more if you go on to use your nappies for subsequent children.
