Recycling collection schedules
Recycling your waste has never been easier.
For the majority of residents, your green wheeled bin (for food and compostable garden waste), green box (for mixed paper and cardboard) and black box (for plastic bottles, food tins and drink cans) is collected on the same day.
The organic waste from your green bin is collected by the same vehicle which collects your refuse on alternate weeks.
Another vehicle is used to collect the contents of both your green box and black box. Materials originating from these boxes are kept separate. The body of the collection vehicle is divided in two. Paper and cardboard are tipped into one side, whilst the plastic bottles and cans are tipped into the other, keeping both elements separate.

Recycling collection calendars
Recycling calendars are issued annually before to Christmas. They display the unique recycling collection dates for each household. The calendars use a combination of coloured columns and characters to help identify the recycling service. In addition, a recycling guide provides information on the recycling scheme requirements and how you can benefit from each scheme.
