Environmental offences

Councils have powers to issue penalties for a variety of littering and environmental crimes with the purpose of helping to improve local neighbourhoods.

The Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act means that councils can issue Fixed Penalty Notices (FPN) for a variety of offences such as littering, fly tipping and nuisance vehicles.

Penalty levels for the Wycombe district have been set as below:

Discounts for early payment

In addition to the levels set, WDC has also introduced early bird discounts for payments made within 14 days of the offence:

  • For offences with a default rate of £75, discount for early payment £50
  • For offences with a default rate of £100, discount for early payment £60
  • For offences with a default rate of £200, discount for early payment £120
  • For offences with a default rate of £300, discount for early payment £180
