How to pay your council tax

All council tax payments are due on the first of each month (unless payment is made by direct debit, in which case you have a choice of four payment dates). It is your responsibility to ensure payments are received by us by the due dates.

If you want to pay later in the month, at the start of the council tax year you should pay April's instalment at the end of March, May's instalment at the end of April and so on. This will ensure your account does not fall into arrears and will prevent recovery action.

Pay by direct debit

Direct debit payments for council tax can be collected on any one of four dates; 1, 10, 15 and 25 of the month. To set up a direct debit, please download the direct debit mandate form below or contact us.

Pay online

You can pay online using our secure online payments facility.
