Council tax

We collect council tax in the Wycombe district. The money collected is used to help provide the services run by us, Buckinghamshire County Council, Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service, Thames Valley Police and local parish councils.

The amount of council tax set each year depends on how much these public bodies spend and how much they get from elsewhere. The amount you have to pay also depends on which valuation band your home is placed in and your household circumstances.

If you are on a low income, you might qualify for benefits to help you pay your council tax. More about benefits.
