Discretionary Housing Payments
Discretionary housing payments (DHP) can be made by the council to top up housing and council tax benefit.
Every claimant entitled to the minimum amount of housing and/or council tax benefit and who still cannot pay their rent and/or council tax is entitled to make a claim for DHP.
