One of our visiting officers will come and visit you in your home to fill in the benefit form with you. This means we get all the information we need to process your claim and you will get your benefit much quicker.

If you don't want us to visit you in your home you can download a council tax and housing benefit claim form below. You can print this out, complete it by hand and post it to us together with proof of all your income and any savings you have. We cannot process your claim without seeing proof. We will photocopy any details and send them straight back to you.

If you are unable to print off a form phone us and we will send you one, or you can call into the council offices and collect one from reception.

How quickly will I get my benefit ?

It is very important that you provide documentary evidence with your claim (such as income details, like payslips and tenancy agreements). We cannot process your claim until we have these.

If you provide all the documentary evidence when you make your claim we normally process your benefit within seven days.
