Charges for information
Our aim is to make as much information available free of charge. If information is available under the Publication Scheme and accessed directly via the website, information provided is free of charge. If the Council is requested to provide hard copies of information on the Council's website, charges will apply.
For information not available via the Publication Scheme (on the Council's website), and requiring individual attention to provide, there may be a charge for release of the information. Where such a request involves less than 18 hours (2.5 working days) of officer time to retrieve, there will be no charge, apart from copy costs. Where officer time to retrieve the information requested is estimated to take 18 hours or more, we are entitled to levy a fee of £450 plus £20 for each additional hour spent.
The requester of the information will be informed that the request will cost more than £450 as early on in the process as possible, so that they have the option to adjust their request. If the requester requires recorded information entailing over 18 hours officer time to retrieve, the fee must be paid before we will start to retrieve the information.
